"This historic festival represents the first time European audiences will experience authentic Mongolian throat singing competition format, bringing together masters of this ancient art from across the globe."
Chairman of Mongolia's Parliament D.Amarbayasgalan met with Maya Riniker, President of the Swiss Federal Council's National Council, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in democracy, rule of law, and parliamentary systems between the two nations.
"Despite geographical distance, our countries share common values of peace and multilateral cooperation, with relations continuing to strengthen through parliamentary exchange and democratic governance initiatives."
At the invitation of President H.E. Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Swiss President H.E. Viola Amherd conducted a historic state visit to Mongolia, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations under the motto "Mongolia and Switzerland for Peace."
"This historic visit reinforces Switzerland's longstanding support for Mongolia's democratic transition and economic reforms, highlighting the positive impact of Swiss-funded projects on Mongolia's development."
In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Mongolia, the Swiss Development Agency brought three Swiss wrestlers to Mongolia for a unique cultural exchange event during Mongolia's National Naadam festival.
"This friendly competition serves as a testament to how sport can be a unifying force, strengthening cultural exchange and mutual respect between our two nations."
Minister of Culture Ch. Nomin received Ms. Stefanie Burri, Head of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), to discuss cultural cooperation and agree on several joint initiatives to be implemented within the year.
"The parties also discussed preparations for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation in 2024."
Minister of Culture Ch. Nomin received Ms. Stefanie Burri, Head of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), at the Ministry of Culture to discuss continuous support for Mongolia's cultural sector and future collaboration opportunities.
"During the Cabinet meeting held on February 16, 2022, it was decided that the Ministry of Culture will officially support the regular participation of Mongolian artists in major international events."
The Swiss Development Agency partners with Mongolia's APU company to introduce Swiss cheese-making technology, led by expert Carlos Marbach who has 66 years of experience.
Mongolian students from top universities in Bern, Geneva, and Lausanne launched a Facebook page to share academic experience with future Mongolian students.
Swiss farmer Silvia Bähler converted part of her farm into a guest stay inspired by her travels in Mongolia.
President Viola Amherd visited Mongolia from August 2–4, 2024, and signed a joint declaration with President Khürelsükh.
